Dr ANNA MCEWAN is a researcher at the Centre for Contemporary History in Potsdam, Germany. Her research focuses on the East German Women’s Organisation; her PhD was focused on the GDR’s Frauenparadies.

DR STEPHAN EHRIG is a Lecturer in German language and culture at the University of Glasgow. He is the review editor for Oxford German Studies, and his research focuses on interdisciplinary approaches to diversifying the research on East German literature, theatre, and film.

CHRISTIANE HULLMANN is the Consul General at the German Consulate General in Edinburgh. She has held various positions in the German Foreign Service, including at the Federal Foreign Office in New York and Kyiv. From 2020 to 2023, she was the Head of Division for the Western Balkans.

MATTHEW SHAUL is a PhD student in German at Queen Mary University in London. He is a curator and art historian with interests in photography of the GDR. He is also the director of Departure Lounge Contemporary Art.
